Due to uncontrollable circumstances, we will not be able to have a service this week. Please join Pensacola Presbyterian Church on line for their streaming service. Hopefully we will be able to gather next Sunday for our usual service.
Yesterday we welcomed a new member into our church and also celebrated 3 baptisms. Congratulations, Heather, Connor, Keith, and Thomas!!
One of our projects made by members of our church: a baby quilt. Thank you, Betsy, for putting this together and to all those who contributed!
We hope you all have a blessed and safe Memorial Day!
We remember the brave men and women who have given their lives throughout our country's history to protect us from danger and harm. We remember all those who sustained injury in mind and/or body in the course of their service. We salute all those who have served in our military. Thank you! Today we welcomed a guest speaker from Santa Rosa Kids House. Thank you, Kelley, for visiting and sharing with us about the program!
If you'd like to read more information about the services they offer and steps in preventing/reporting child abuse, visit https://srkidshouse.org/ Today we celebrate the Christian holy day known as Pentecost, the 50th day (seventh Sunday) following Easter Sunday. On this day, the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus, while they were celebrating the Feast of Weeks in Jerusalem. The symbols used to represent the Holy Spirit (also symbols of Pentecost), include flames, wind, God's breath, and a dove. This day marks the end of the Easter season.
Acts 2: 1-4 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. We'd like to offer a special thanks to the 3 amigos for their help cleaning the church. Thank you, Daniel, Keith, and Thomas!
